Forward Deployment Engineer – Alternance

We are representing a confidential advisory firm seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer for an alternance (work-study) position in Paris. This role sits at the intersection of AI implementation and business transformation, working directly with consulting teams to build and deploy intelligent solutions that solve real operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Work embedded with transaction services, restructuring, and strategy teams to identify high-value use cases and operational friction points
• Observe workflows, question habits, and spot repetitive tasks that can be automated or enhanced with AI
• Rapidly prototype solutions using AI agent platforms, workflow automation tools, and custom applications
• Build connectors and integrations between internal systems (collaboration platforms, CRM, databases, modeling tools)
• Configure, test, and deploy production-ready solutions with reliability and performance in mind
• Train consultants to use new tools and empower them to build their own lightweight solutions
• Create documentation, guides, and best practices to enable team autonomy
• Identify and mentor "AI champions" within each team to drive grassroots adoption
• Provide field feedback to the central team to inform the product roadmap
• Track the evolving AI/LLM ecosystem and evaluate new frameworks, models, and tools

What We're Looking For

Education:

• Currently enrolled in a Bac+4/5 program (engineering school, master's in computer science, data science, or equivalent)

The Non-Negotiable – Passion for AI:

This role is for someone who lives AI daily. You follow model releases, experiment with APIs, and have already built things with LLMs—even if imperfect. Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI are absolutely essential.

Technical Skills:

• Concrete experience or personal projects with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agents
• Ability to prototype quickly and iterate in real-world conditions
• Python (priority); JavaScript/TypeScript appreciated
• Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL databases, and cloud environments
• Professional English required

Personal Qualities:

• Resourcefulness and bias for action—you'd rather ship an imperfect prototype today than a perfect plan in three months
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-developer consultants
• Rigor and autonomy—you manage multiple projects simultaneously and know how to prioritize
• Fluent French and professional English (European context)
