Security Architect

Forcepoint is hiring a Security Architect for our Flex location in Cork, Ireland. This full-time role offers the opportunity to design and lead security strategies that protect critical infrastructure and drive organisational resilience across our enterprise.

What This Role Involves

As a Security Architect at Forcepoint in Cork, you'll translate business objectives into robust security frameworks and technology solutions. You'll design comprehensive security architectures, evaluate emerging threats, and ensure our systems meet evolving compliance and regulatory standards. Your work will directly influence how we protect our people, data, and infrastructure across the organisation.

Your Responsibilities

• Design enterprise security architectures aligned with business requirements and risk profiles
• Assess current security posture and recommend enhancements to controls and processes
• Evaluate and implement security technologies and solutions across infrastructure and applications
• Conduct threat modelling and security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and compliance to embed security principles
• Oversee security architecture governance and maintain documentation of approved standards and patterns
• Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging security trends to inform strategic recommendations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture, security engineering, or closely related security roles
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and on-premises infrastructure security
• Solid knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and data protection
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or similar)
• Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or equivalent professional experience
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSK, or similar) are advantageous
