Our talent team is representing a confidential digital entertainment client seeking a Social Media Script Writer/Video Editor for a freelance engagement. This is your chance to create compelling short-form video content that connects millions of passionate fans with stories they love across major social platforms.

We're looking for someone who thinks like a storyteller and executes like a filmmaker—someone who can make audiences feel something in under a minute. You'll craft everything from comedic skits to emotional trailers to high-energy sequences that resonate across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.

Responsibilities

• Concept, script, and edit short-form video content with strong hooks and cliffhangers across various genres including humor, romance, and action
• Collaborate with copywriters, designers, and art directors to create dynamic, character-driven content native to each platform
• Develop series promos, trailers, and explainer content that connect fans to expansive fictional universes
• Create expressive animations from source material that elevate characters, worlds, and themes in surprising ways
• Move fluidly between high-quality motion design and quick-turn social videos
• Bring your storytelling perspective to projects that feel organic and engaging rather than purely promotional
• Stay current with fan culture, animation trends, memes, and narrative formats popular with Gen Z and Millennial audiences

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years professional experience in a creative agency, production company, or in-house entertainment team, ideally with ad content, trailers, branded content, or entertainment marketing
• Storyteller-first mindset with focus on pacing, emotion, and structure
• Strong copywriting and scripting background with eagerness to experiment with new formats
• Clear, reliable communication skills and ability to work within fast-paced production timelines
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects, with general knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition); 3D animation is a plus
• Comfort with character rigging and strong comprehension of animation principles
• Portfolio or reel showcasing professional motion design and storytelling work with distinct creative voice
• Equally confident collaborating or running projects end-to-end
• Passion for comics, animation, gaming, or storytelling in all forms
• Positive, adaptable mindset focused on process and continuous learning
• Bonus: existing online presence or content in webcomic, animation, or fandom spaces; willingness to voice content or appear on camera

Required: Portfolio or reel showcasing your unique tone of voice, artistic range, and creative point of view. We want to see your storytelling instincts and technical skill.
