Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential food-tech organization in Berlin that is seeking a Senior Business Developer to drive growth initiatives and strategic projects across the business.
In this role, you will:
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, markets, partnerships, and new business concepts
- Analyze performance data and develop clear business cases with actionable recommendations
- Take ownership of cross-functional projects from goal definition through to measurable results
- Coordinate stakeholders, resolve blockers, and establish clarity around priorities and responsibilities
- Improve processes and support the launch of new products, brands, locations, and markets
- Identify meaningful applications for automation, AI, and new tools and drive their implementation
- Work closely with founders and teams across commercial, operations, finance, supply chain, product, and technology
What We're Looking For
Our client needs an experienced business generalist with a background in business development, commercial roles, strategy, consulting, business operations, or a start-up environment.
Required qualifications:
- Several years of experience in a commercial, strategic, analytical, or operational role
- Strong commercial judgment and intuition for market potential and business opportunities
- Proven ability to structure complex topics, develop recommendations, and lead projects through to implementation
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills with demonstrated stakeholder management experience
- Hands-on working style with high ownership mentality and consistent follow-through
- Ability to drive impact without formal authority
- Proficiency working with data, spreadsheets, dashboards, presentations, and business tools
- Fluent German and professional-level English required
Helpful but not required: Experience in food delivery, platform businesses, retail, hospitality, quick-service restaurants, or fast-growing start-ups
Success in this role means key initiatives are implemented, decisions lead to concrete actions, recurring problems are sustainably resolved, and the organization scales effectively with growth.
