Senior Manager Group Accounting & IFRS (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Manager for Group Accounting and IFRS reporting. In this role, you will:

• Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for revenue and related accounts, ensuring timely and accurate results
• Lead end-to-end revenue recognition processes for software licenses, SaaS, and professional services across approximately 20 countries, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and local GAAP requirements
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow under both IFRS and HGB standards
• Own group reporting responsibilities, consolidating results and coordinating activities for internal decision-making and external disclosures
• Develop and evolve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure robust financial reporting
• Author technical accounting memos and documentation to support audit processes
• Manage internal and external audits, serving as the primary contact and owning resolution of accounting and reporting matters
• Drive continuous improvement of financial systems and processes with focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability
• Serve as a trusted advisor on financial reporting topics across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally within software or professional services industries
• Deep expertise in IFRS (particularly IFRS 15) and HGB, with proven ability to apply standards in fast-paced business environments
• Strong experience in financial statement preparation, group reporting, and consolidation processes
• Experience with SAP ERP systems, preferably S/4 HANA
• Excellent analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting topics clearly
• Fluency in both English and German required

Pay
