Role Overview
We're seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to support infectious diseases research at Wustl. In this part-time remote role, you'll contribute to essential research operations that advance our understanding of infectious disease mechanisms, transmission, and treatment. Your work will directly support active research projects and the collaboration of faculty and graduate students.
What You'll Do
- Conduct literature reviews and organize research materials related to infectious diseases
- Assist with data collection, entry, and organization for active research projects
- Support the preparation and maintenance of research protocols and documentation
- Help coordinate logistics for research activities and stakeholder communication
- Perform quality assurance checks on research data and records
- Contribute to data analysis and results interpretation under supervisor direction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or currently pursuing) in Biology, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management software
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
- Interest in infectious diseases research or related scientific fields
