About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential digital solutions firm seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead digital communications projects. This role offers the chance to shape meaningful digital solutions while working with interdisciplinary teams across multiple locations in Germany, with flexible remote options available.
As Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of sophisticated digital communication projects with a particular focus on CMS-based information platforms and websites. You'll operate at the intersection of technology, digital communications consulting, creative services, and content strategy, steering projects from conception through delivery and ongoing optimization.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex digital implementation projects, maintaining control over scope, budget, quality, and timelines
- Lead digital communication initiatives centered on CMS-based platforms, websites, and their continuous development and operations
- Collaborate closely with technology, communications, creative, content, and UX teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and challenges, translating them into concrete project objectives and actionable solutions
- Identify growth opportunities and new needs within existing client relationships, driving project expansion in collaboration with subject matter experts
- Contribute project expertise to proposals, RFP responses, and pitch presentations
- Manage diverse stakeholders with confidence, ensuring clarity and accountability even in complex project scenarios
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience managing digital implementation projects, ideally involving websites, information platforms, or CMS-based solutions
- A proactive approach to project management—you see projects as opportunities to shape solutions and develop client relationships, not just administrative tasks
- Genuine interest in understanding client challenges, recognizing potential, and developing appropriate solutions with cross-functional teams
- Comfort working with both technical teams and creative disciplines including communications, UX, design, and content
- Familiarity with various project methodologies (agile and traditional) and ability to apply them appropriately to each situation
- Experience with public sector or public-adjacent industries strongly preferred
- University degree or equivalent practical qualification
- Excellent German language skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder communication
- Experience in presales, business development, RFPs, or proposal development is a plus but not required
- Project management certification is advantageous but not mandatory
