Chef de Projet Senior Photovoltaïque & stockage (BESS) (H/F)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential renewable energy consultancy operating internationally. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep expertise in photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage (BESS) to join their team in Fontainebleau, Île-de-France.

This role offers the opportunity to lead strategic international projects for prominent clients including international financial institutions, national electricity companies, and major private sector organizations. You will work on innovative large-scale renewable energy and energy storage programs worldwide, contributing directly to the global energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Manage strategic international projects in photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems (BESS) for institutional and private sector clients
• Lead feasibility studies for complex energy production systems including system dimensioning and optimization, CAPEX/OPEX estimation, preliminary and detailed design, and grid connection studies (MV/HV)
• Conduct network stability studies using PSS®E and PowerFactory, and develop energy master plans using PLEXOS and PyPSA
• Perform Technical Due Diligence (TDD), Lender's Technical Advisor (LTA) missions, and technical advisory for transactions
• Oversee project execution phases including tender preparation, EPC/IPP bid evaluation, pre-construction design validation, and supervision of construction, commissioning, and operation-maintenance phases
• Interface with suppliers, EPC/IPP contractors, and clients while monitoring technological developments, market trends, new products, standards, and simulation models
• Contribute to standardization of work processes to improve operational efficiency and service quality
• Support international business development through preparation of technical and commercial proposals

What We're Looking For

• Engineering degree or equivalent in energy, electrical engineering, or similar field with specialization in renewable energy, photovoltaics, or battery energy storage systems (BESS)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale photovoltaic and energy storage projects with strong project management and engineering competencies
• Experience in wind energy and green hydrogen is a plus
• Proficiency with industry software including PVSyst, HOMER PRO, and/or electrical grid simulation software (PowerFactory, PSS®E)
• Strong understanding of technical aspects of PPA and EPC contracts, particularly regarding performance, contractual penalties, and contractual risks
• Excellent written communication skills
• Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken
