Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential digital consultancy seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join their interdisciplinary project teams in München. In this role, you will take ownership of the design process for complex enterprise applications, portals, and information systems across public sector, healthcare, and regulated industries.
Your responsibilities include:
- Leading the design process from vision and design language definition through to final UI implementation
- Creating visually and functionally sophisticated user flows and interfaces for complex applications with consistency, accessibility, and technical feasibility in mind
- Providing strategic consultation to clients and project teams on digital product evolution, combining user insights with market observation
- Managing design systems throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring adoption across teams through documentation, contribution guidelines, reviews, and training
- Facilitating workshops and presenting design decisions to non-design stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner
- Taking creative leadership in proposals and pitches
- Strategically implementing AI tools within the design process and sharing knowledge with the team
- Providing technical leadership for small UX/UI teams on client projects, including design reviews, quality assurance, and mentoring colleagues
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital product design with focus on UX and UI
- Degree in Communication Design, Interaction Design, Media Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, or comparable qualification
- Extensive experience developing, applying, and evolving design systems with strong quality standards and visual sensibility
- Proficiency with UX methodologies, complex digital application design, and digital accessibility requirements
- Experience collaborating with development teams in agile environments
- Proven ability to moderate workshops and present design solutions to clients and stakeholders
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your work from problem definition to final interface, including design system experience
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
Preferred experience:
- Background in regulated industries such as public sector, healthcare, or energy
- Technical leadership of small design teams in client projects
- Art direction experience
- Practical experience with AI-supported products, design processes, prototyping, or code generation
