About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization in Berlin that is expanding its internal IT capabilities. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator to take ownership of their Microsoft environment, drive automation initiatives, and collaborate with business units to develop digital solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in Berlin (Lichtenberg district) with 2 days of home office per week. You'll have the opportunity to shape how modern technologies, automation, and digital processes are deployed across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Administer and continuously develop the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID
- Manage Azure infrastructure including host pools, virtual networks, and storage accounts
- Oversee user accounts, groups, policies, and security roles while ensuring stable and secure IT infrastructure
- Lead technical processes for employee onboarding and offboarding, including device provisioning, permissions management, and automation with Power Automate
- Monitor, maintain, and configure network infrastructure; administer Sophos XGS firewall including rule sets, remote access, and security policies
- Develop and implement business process automation using tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, or n8n from requirements gathering through production
- Build technical foundations for automation, interfaces, and connectors including governance and permissions frameworks
- Deploy modern AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot to optimize internal processes and increase efficiency
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, lead IT projects, and advance IT standards, documentation, and security processes
- Support departments in adopting automation and AI tools through training, guidelines, and technical guidance
What We're Looking For
- Completed education or degree in IT, system administration, or comparable qualification
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system administration with demonstrated experience independently operating an entire IT environment
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies including Intune, Entra ID, Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online
- Approximately 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly virtual machines, host pools, virtual networks, and storage accounts
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies including LAN, WLAN, VLAN, DHCP, and DNS; experience with Sophos firewalls (XGS series preferred)
- Proven experience developing process automation with Power Automate, Power Platform, n8n, or comparable tools
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, APIs, and webhooks
- Structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented working style with the drive to independently advance initiatives
- Strong process understanding and ability to analyze requirements with business units and communicate technical solutions clearly
- Enthusiasm for knowledge sharing, supporting colleagues, and taking responsibility as a technical point of contact
- Fluent German and good technical English

This is an unlimited (permanent) contract position with 30 vacation days.
