About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential virtual-first cardiovascular care organization seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join their remote clinical team. This is a full-time position supporting patients in the Central Time Zone, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Our client is transforming how heart care is delivered through telemedicine, remote monitoring, and data-driven treatment protocols. As a Cardiology NP, you'll independently manage complex cardiac patients in a virtual environment, with particular emphasis on Heart Failure populations and Guideline-Directed Medical Therapy (GDMT) optimization.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments via telehealth, including history reviews, virtual examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation
• Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease
• Implement, titrate, and manage GDMT protocols in accordance with current ACC/AHA guidelines for heart failure and complex cardiac populations
• Monitor patient progress through real-time data analysis and adjust care pathways to prevent hospital readmissions
• Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic testing
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and GDMT expectations
• Collaborate with cardiologists, primary care providers, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Maintain detailed electronic documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with cardiology research and evidence-based practices
• Serve as a patient advocate throughout the healthcare journey

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with cardiology or related advanced practice specialization
• 3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient cardiology setting or clinic environment
• Active, current, and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license (preferably in a Compact State)
• Current NP certification from ANCC or AANPCB in a relevant specialty (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP or Family NP with strong cardiology focus)
• ACLS certification required or highly recommended
• Proven expertise in GDMT application, optimization, and protocol titration
• Demonstrated proficiency interpreting ECGs, echocardiograms, and other cardiac diagnostic tests
• Experience managing advanced Heart Failure populations with measurable clinical outcomes
