Facility Assistant I

Viterra is hiring a Facility Assistant I to support daily operations at our Taber, Alberta location. This is a full-time position for someone ready to contribute to a productive, safe working environment.

About the Role

Core Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout facility areas, including offices, common spaces, and operational zones
• Perform routine cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and waste management
• Support basic maintenance tasks as directed, including minor repairs and upkeep
• Monitor and respond to facility issues such as equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental protocols while working
• Assist with seasonal maintenance and facility improvements
• Keep records and report on facility conditions and work completed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical capability to perform manual labour, including lifting and standing for extended periods
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Willingness to learn new tasks and operate basic facility equipment
• Reliable attendance and punctual arrival
• Relevant facility maintenance or custodial experience is an asset
