About the Role

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a talented Backend Engineer to join their wallets team. This is a 100% remote position offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital finance infrastructure at global scale.

In this pivotal role, you will build robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions that power mission-critical financial systems. You'll tackle formidable technical challenges while working with a distributed team of talented engineers from around the world.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative backend solutions using agile methodologies and modern technologies
• Ensure backend services remain responsive and real-time, accommodating continual platform growth
• Build and maintain microservices architecture for scalable applications
• Implement and uphold the highest security standards to safeguard user assets and data
• Interact with databases including MySQL and MongoDB to support complex platform requirements
• Contribute to the development of wallet infrastructure and related financial services

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript programming
• Strong experience with microservices architecture
• Proven track record developing complex, production-grade platforms
• Understanding of peer-to-peer technologies
• Proficiency working with MySQL and MongoDB databases
• Quick learner with ability to rapidly adapt to new technologies
• Strong understanding of security best practices and their implementation
• Excellent English communication skills for remote collaboration

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating blockchain technologies
• Knowledge of high-availability concepts and system reliability practices
• Programming skills in Ruby, Rust, or C++
• Familiarity with message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues
