Senior Manager, Divisional Risk

Vanguard is seeking a Senior Manager of Divisional Risk for our office in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time opportunity to lead enterprise risk management initiatives across our retirement and workplace solutions business.

About the Role

As Senior Manager of Divisional Risk, you'll oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks impacting our retirement services and workplace solutions division. You'll partner with business leaders, compliance, operations, and finance to build and execute comprehensive risk strategies aligned with Vanguard's enterprise objectives and regulatory requirements.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze business operations and strategic initiatives to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor and report on key risk indicators and compliance metrics across assigned business units
• Lead cross-functional risk assessments, control reviews, and process improvements
• Collaborate with business, compliance, and audit teams to address regulatory expectations and internal policies
• Develop and communicate risk frameworks, policies, and training materials for divisional stakeholders
• Evaluate third-party vendors and partners from a risk perspective
• Present risk findings and recommendations to executive leadership and board-level committees

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, risk management, or related field; advanced degree or risk certification (ERM, FRM, CRM) preferred
• 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, audit, or related financial services disciplines
• Strong understanding of financial services regulations, retirement plan administration, or workplace benefits environments
• Proven ability to build risk strategies and drive adoption across complex, matrixed organizations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with data analysis tools and business systems
