People Operations Manager (German speaking)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a People Operations Manager to join their team in Berlin. In this role, you will be at the heart of day-to-day people operations, ensuring smooth processes across a diverse and growing global team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serving as a welcoming and reliable guide for team members through different stages of their employee lifecycle, offering proactive support that enhances the employee experience
• Co-owning employee support channels via Zendesk, resolving queries with empathy, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Preparing and managing essential documents including contracts, amendments, side letters, certificates, and reference letters
• Supporting international payroll processes in collaboration with Finance and external partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery
• Maintaining impeccable data integrity in the HRIS system, keeping employee records accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations
• Leading and contributing to People Operations initiatives, from streamlining workflows to launching process improvements
• Leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance People Ops workflow efficiency
• Contributing to strategic projects and collaborating cross-functionally with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition teams

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in People Operations with confidence navigating tasks across the full employee lifecycle
• Solid understanding of German labor law and HR compliance standards
• Advanced German language skills with confidence in both verbal and written communication
• Strong English communication abilities
• Hands-on and solution-oriented approach, taking ownership with care and efficiency
• Proactive and tech-minded with a service-oriented mindset and keen interest in using AI and modern tools to optimize workflows
• Strong attention to detail and high commitment to confidentiality
• Kind and thoughtful communication style, able to build trust across teams

Preferred experience includes supporting multiple legal entities and People Operations across global markets, plus a passion for process optimization and AI-powered automation tools.
