Medical Science Liaison – New York City

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential biopharmaceutical organization in their search for a Medical Science Liaison to cover the New York City territory. This is a remote role for candidates residing in New York or Connecticut.

As part of our client's Medical Affairs team, you will serve as a scientific expert and trusted resource to the healthcare community, focusing on myeloproliferative neoplasms and hematology-oncology. You'll build relationships with key opinion leaders, facilitate medical education, and support clinical research initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, thought leaders, and medical centers across community clinics, academic institutions, and integrated delivery networks
• Provide scientific and medical support to healthcare professionals regarding disease states, treatment guidelines, and clinical research
• Lead medical education initiatives and present at advisory boards, regional training courses, and workshops
• Support clinical study development and ensure alignment with medical and commercial objectives
• Maintain expertise in hematology, oncology, and blood disorders through ongoing literature review and congress attendance
• Prepare critical reviews of scientific publications and present findings internally and externally
• Document interactions and insights using CRM systems to ensure knowledge preservation
• Write and submit abstracts for scientific congresses
• Provide cross-functional support to Market Access and other Medical Affairs activities
• Monitor competitive landscape and marketplace developments

What We're Looking For

• Advanced degree required: PhD, PharmD, or MD
• 3+ years of experience in a field medical or MSL role within the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong knowledge of hematology, oncology, or interferons
• Experience in planning and executing scientific studies and clinical trials
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
• Excellent presentation, writing, and oral communication skills
• Strong project planning and execution capabilities
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within dynamic team environments
• Initiative-driven approach with strong judgment and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to regulatory and GCP guidelines
• Must reside in New York or Connecticut

Pay

The employer has indicated a base salary range of $165,240-$238,680 for this position, along with eligibility for short-term and long-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation decisions are based on experience, qualifications, and geographic factors.
