Full-Cycle Revenue Cycle Medical Biller (Dermatology)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking an experienced Full-Cycle Revenue Cycle Medical Biller with dermatology specialization. This remote position offers the opportunity to take complete ownership of the end-to-end revenue cycle for a high-volume practice, working directly with our client's billing operations from the Philippines.

Our talent team is looking for a seasoned professional who can manage everything from specialty coding review to complex denial resolution and outstanding accounts receivable recovery.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for dermatology procedures before claim submission
• Generate, audit, and submit clean primary and secondary insurance claims
• Work insurance aging reports and investigate unpaid or underpaid claims
• Post insurance payments from EOBs and ERAs accurately
• File appeals and reconsiderations for rejected or denied claims
• Conduct persistent follow-up with commercial and government payers on outstanding claims exceeding 30+ days
• Correct coding and modifier errors and follow through until final resolution
• Post contractual adjustments and patient co-pays/coinsurance
• Verify patient balances and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain complete, accurate billing documentation within the practice management system
• Identify systemic payer denials or billing trends that impact reimbursement
• Report findings and trends to management

What We're Looking For

• Specialty billing experience: Proven full-cycle medical billing experience supporting dermatology practices
• Software proficiency (required): Recent, direct hands-on experience using ModMed (Modernizing Medicine / EMA) – this is non-negotiable
• Coding expertise: Solid command of dermatology-specific CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and modifier applications (e.g., Modifier 25, 59)
• Revenue cycle knowledge: Hands-on experience across claims submission, ERA/EOB payment posting, denial resolution, and A/R aging follow-up
• Work style: Self-starter mentality with the ability to take ownership of complex aging accounts without micro-supervision
• Remote setup: Private, HIPAA-compliant home office with reliable computer setup, high-speed internet, and clear headset
• Schedule availability: Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST (US Eastern Standard Time)
