Product Manager, Wet Goods (CONTRACT)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential men's consumer products organization seeking a Product Manager, Wet Goods (CONTRACT) for a 4-month engagement covering a maternity leave. This remote contract role will partner closely with senior product leadership to drive formulation development, claims substantiation, and product launch execution within the personal grooming category.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of new product development programs within personal grooming, ensuring adherence to timelines, stage gate requirements, and launch objectives
• Translate approved product concepts and innovation briefs into actionable development plans in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Drive formula development coordination, claims testing, packaging development, artwork initiation, technical transfer activities, and production readiness
• Manage product costing and business case support including COGS development, gross margin analysis, and pricing recommendations
• Track and communicate project status to leadership and cross-functional teams, proactively identifying risks and coordinating mitigation plans
• Partner with PMO, Design, Marketing, QA, Regulatory, Packaging, Operations, and Channel teams to ensure timely product launches
• Maintain project documentation, timelines, action items, and progress reporting across multiple initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in executional product development and category ownership roles
• Proven expertise overseeing the entire product development lifecycle within personal grooming or related consumer categories
• Process-driven mentality with technical skill set in formula development
• Working knowledge of MS Project, Asana (or equivalent project management systems), and specification systems
• Demonstrated experience supporting successful product launches from concept through commercialization
• Strong leadership in formula development, claims testing, packaging design, artwork initiation, and production oversight
• Experience with cost-of-goods analysis and financial justification
• Ability to communicate project statuses and risks effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
• Collaborative, resourceful, and able to learn quickly in evolving environments
• Must be located in the United States
