DATEV Techniker & Operations Manager (m/w/d) Remote, Vollzeit/Teilzeit

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech client seeking a DATEV Technician & Operations Manager to ensure seamless integration and stable operation of their automation platform within diverse tax accounting firm IT environments.

In this role, you will:

• Manage onboarding and rollout processes by guiding external system houses and internal administrators through technical setup, providing clear requirements for network and firewall configurations, certificates, service accounts, and interfaces
• Conduct proactive system monitoring of live client systems, reviewing interface status and system metrics to identify bottlenecks or irregularities before they impact daily operations
• Perform technical troubleshooting following service releases, Windows updates, or network changes by analyzing log files, isolating root causes, and developing targeted solutions with IT administrators
• Optimize platform configurations to ensure data flows are properly aligned with client accounting systems
• Serve as the key liaison between client IT and the engineering team, feeding systemic findings and edge cases into development and continuously improving technical setup guides and best practices

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Several years of practical experience supporting DATEV environments as a DATEV technician, system engineer at an IT system house serving tax firms, or accounting firm IT administrator
• Deep knowledge of typical tax accounting firm IT architectures including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services, DNS/DHCP, TLS certificates, and firewalls
• Familiarity with DATEV operating models (on-premise, DATEV SmartIT, PARTNERasp)
• Completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration, IT System Electronics Technician, IT System Salesperson, or comparable technical qualification with relevant professional experience
• Strong process management and communication skills with the ability to speak the language of system house administrators and lead technical onboardings in a structured, professional manner
• Analytical mindset with systematic approach to troubleshooting through log analysis and network diagnostics
• Fluent German (C1/C2 level) and English proficiency (minimum B2) for internal communication

This is a remote position based in Germany, available full-time or part-time (minimum 20 hours per week), with no travel required.
