CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver

Sysco Alaska – Fairbanks is seeking a full-time CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver to deliver quality products and exceptional service to our valued customers across the Fairbanks region. In this position, you'll operate a commercial truck, manage delivery routes, and represent Sysco's reputation for reliability throughout Alaska's hospitality sector.

What This Role Involves

As a CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver, you'll use your commercial driving expertise to safely transport and deliver food products and supplies to restaurants, hotels, and foodservice establishments throughout the Fairbanks area. Your work supports Alaska's dining and hospitality industry with predictable local routes that allow you to return home each day while earning competitive income.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial truck safely and legally, adhering to all DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Execute assigned delivery routes to foodservice businesses, restaurants, and hospitality venues in Fairbanks
• Load, secure, and unload freight while maintaining proper product handling and safety standards
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance concerns immediately
• Interact professionally with customers, collect signatures or payments, and address service inquiries
• Complete and maintain accurate delivery documentation, manifests, and compliance records
• Follow all Sysco safety protocols and vehicle operation standards

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT medical examination and background screening
• Two or more years of commercial truck driving experience preferred
• Physical capability to load, unload, and handle freight on a regular basis
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Proven reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safety practices
