About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior SRE/DevOps Engineer to join their technical operations team. This is a 100% remote position for candidates authorized to work in Australia.
You'll be working with an experienced engineering team focused on payment systems and infrastructure excellence. This role offers the opportunity to architect scalable cloud solutions, implement automation, and contribute to a culture of operational excellence within a growing technology organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
- Build and optimize AWS infrastructure including Lambda, EC2, and EKS environments
- Develop automation tools and scripts to eliminate manual processes and improve efficiency
- Create monitoring solutions, alerting systems, and observability tools
- Maintain and scale storage solutions such as Elasticsearch and InfluxDB
- Troubleshoot complex issues across software, hardware, and cloud resources
- Apply cloud best practices and ensure infrastructure reliability and performance
- Contribute to engineering culture through knowledge sharing and technical presentations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience with at least 2 years hands-on AWS experience
- Deep expertise with AWS services: Lambda, EC2, and EKS
- Proven experience maintaining and scaling Elasticsearch and InfluxDB
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Java, Bash, or Shell
- Practical experience with CI/CD tools including CircleCI and Terraform
- Working knowledge of CloudFlare, configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Compliance knowledge or certifications in SOC1, SOC2, or PCI DSS (preferred)
- AWS, DevOps, or Compliance certifications (preferred)
- Valid Australian work authorization (required)
