About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential international organization seeking a Senior Java Developer/AWS Specialist for a fully remote position. This is a long-term engagement focused on critical cloud migration initiatives, moving enterprise Java/Oracle applications to AWS infrastructure.
Candidates must be available to work on a European schedule. All interviews are conducted remotely via video conference.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration and configuration of web-based applications to AWS cloud environments following established architectural standards
- Implement and manage technical processes for infrastructure deployment, automation, and operational practices
- Complete ongoing migration of enterprise eFiling systems to AWS cloud infrastructure
- Enable Redis caching for migrated applications to optimize performance and eliminate sticky sessions
- Review, relocate, and optimize custom SSO authentication modules
- Design and develop additional web services as required
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation including design documents, architecture diagrams, and transition plans
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years of Java development experience
- Proven experience migrating applications to AWS cloud-based infrastructure, including configuration and deployment
- Strong proficiency developing front-end and back-end solutions using Java EE, JSF, and JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with digital authentication mechanisms and frameworks
- Hands-on experience with DevOps toolchain: Jira, Git, Bamboo
- Excellent technical writing skills for design documents and architecture diagrams
- Fluent English communication skills
Essential Technical Skills:
- AWS cloud technologies
- Java EE, JavaScript, JSF, JSP, Spring, Hibernate
- Web services: SOAP and REST
- SSO authentication (OIDC/OpenAM)
- HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript
- Database expertise including RDBMS and Redis caching
- Microservice architectures
