AI Safety Specialist – Fully Remote | Upto $84/hr

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI research organization seeking an AI Safety Specialist for a fully remote contract role based in Italy. Our client is at the forefront of frontier AI development and requires experienced professionals to stress-test and evaluate their systems for safety, robustness, and alignment.

This is a contract position offering competitive hourly compensation for specialists with deep expertise in adversarial testing, prompt engineering, and AI safety evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Design adversarial prompts to stress-test frontier AI models and identify potential vulnerabilities
• Identify jailbreaks, unsafe behaviors, hallucinations, and policy failures across various use cases
• Evaluate model robustness across sensitive domains including misinformation, cybersecurity, biosecurity, fraud, and political content
• Document vulnerabilities systematically and contribute to safety benchmarking and red-teaming reports
• Collaborate with AI researchers to improve model alignment, robustness, and safety protocols

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Journalism, Communications, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Public Policy, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in AI Safety, AI Red Teaming, Trust & Safety, cybersecurity, investigative journalism, life sciences, or related field
• Strong analytical reasoning, prompt design, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience designing adversarial prompts or evaluating frontier AI systems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AI Red Teaming, RLHF, SFT, AI Alignment, or Trust & Safety methodologies
• Familiarity with jailbreak testing, prompt engineering, or adversarial evaluation techniques
• Subject matter expertise in one or more high-risk domains such as cybersecurity, biosecurity, political content, misinformation, or scientific safety
