DevOps / SRE / DevSecOps Engineer (AWS) – Remote, Latin America

We are representing a confidential software consultancy that delivers innovative technology solutions across the Americas. Our talent team is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE/DevSecOps Engineer to join their rapidly expanding operations. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, including ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and S3
• Operate Aurora/PostgreSQL databases in production environments, managing multi-AZ failover, read replicas, and replica lag monitoring
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with robust deployment automation and tested rollback procedures
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Conduct load testing and ensure services meet latency SLOs and error budgets
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, or similar tools
• Support SOC 2 audit evidence collection and client security reviews
• Participate in incident response, on-call rotations, and conduct thorough root-cause analysis
• Apply security-first practices including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and compliance hardening
• Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and ECS/Fargate

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, or DevSecOps roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS/Fargate, RDS/Aurora, ALB, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, S3)
• Production experience operating Aurora/PostgreSQL, including multi-AZ configurations and replica management
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Proven track record building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with deployment automation and rollback procedures
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Load testing experience (k6 or similar) and SLO management
• Security-minded approach with compliance and hardening experience
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or similar audit processes
• Background in incident response and on-call support
• Experience with large, complex distributed systems
• Ability to overlap with US business hours
• Bachelor's degree
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Client-focused mindset with extreme ownership of deliverables

Preferred:

• Experience with S3 Object Lock and long-term audit/compliance retention
• Multi-tenant security implementation (e.g., PostgreSQL Row-Level Security)
• Database migration tooling and schema evolution strategies
• Background in compliance-sensitive domains (fintech, telecom/TCPA)
