Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential collectibles organization seeking an experienced Art Director in London. In this leadership role, you will captain the graphic design team and steer the creation of all visual elements for trading card and collectibles products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating directly with brand managers on product ideation and creative direction
  • Determining print technology for each release, balancing aesthetic requirements with cost budgeting and technical efficiencies
  • Ensuring print specifications are captured accurately on bills of materials
  • Establishing brand identity and coherent visual style for each project
  • Executing design and layout concepts while directing a team of designers to generate trading card and packaging design templates
  • Implementing stakeholder feedback and securing internal approvals
  • Overseeing the creation of design masters and conducting comprehensive review of card proof sets
  • Liaising with prepress and manufacturing vendors on card visuals, final press files, and complexities during print and finishing stages

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant graphic design experience; at least 2 years managing a team of designers
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications
  • A natural eye for design and passion for delivering dynamic concepts that connect with consumers
  • Ability to elevate design work while guiding team members to take their creative efforts to the next level
  • Excellence in time management and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the trading card and collectibles industry, consumer trends, and competitor products
  • Creative, innovative, professional, and organized approach to work
  • Knowledge of football, F1, and other sports is advantageous
