Forward Deployed Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise SaaS organization that is building a forward-deployed engineering function focused on AI transformation for strategic accounts. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team that works directly with C-level executives to architect, build, and deploy production AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

You will own a portfolio of 1–2 high-value accounts, working autonomously as the technical spearhead of AI adoption initiatives. This role combines hands-on engineering, strategic architecture, and executive advising—with accountability for real business results, not just delivery.

This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the London office.

Responsibilities

• Embed with C-level stakeholders to design and architect end-to-end AI solutions that address mission-critical business challenges
• Own business outcomes for your accounts: adoption metrics, workflow throughput, and measurable ROI tied to agreed success criteria
• Build and ship sophisticated platform configurations, AI agents, integrations, and custom tooling from discovery through production rollout
• Instrument deployments, run evaluations against real customer workflows, and translate findings into product requirements and roadmap input backed by data
• Partner with sales and customer success teams as the technical authority on account strategy
• Productize learnings: turn one-off solutions into reusable patterns, agents, and assets that scale across the customer base
• Lead technical discovery, architecture design, and implementation for AI agent systems and workflow automation

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building applications from scratch using TypeScript, Node.js, and React with full-stack depth
• Proven track record leading end-to-end projects in production environments, preferably in client-facing roles
• Background in solution architecture or software engineering with strong knowledge of AI/LLM systems, agent architectures, tool-use protocols, evaluation frameworks, and prompt-to-production workflows
• Experience navigating C-suite relationships and influencing executive decisions in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Demonstrated ability to turn one-off delivery work into reusable assets, product requirements, or repeatable playbooks
• Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on long-term impact rather than quick fixes
• Autonomous operator comfortable with high-visibility work and outcome-based accountability
