Senior Finance Data & Systems Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading mobile technology company in Paris seeking a Senior Finance Data & Systems Analyst to drive financial planning platform excellence and AI-powered automation. This role sits at the intersection of finance, data, and systems—reporting to senior finance leadership while collaborating across FP&A, Accounting, and Data teams.

You will take ownership of a strategic enterprise performance management platform (Pigment), build internal expertise to replace external consultants, and lead data and AI initiatives that transform how the finance function operates at scale.

Responsibilities

• Become the internal subject matter expert and platform owner for Pigment, progressively reducing reliance on external service providers and building internal autonomy
• Optimize platform configuration, drive integration development, and build a strategic roadmap supporting consolidation and reporting across FP&A and Accounting
• Design and implement a structured budgeting process in Pigment in partnership with the Head of FP&A, including workflow design, calendar management, and contributor governance
• Adapt platform use cases tied to the accounting close process, working closely with the Head of Accounting
• Establish operational controls including disciplined change management and a comprehensive financial data governance framework (definitions, quality standards, single source of truth, access governance)
• Lead data and automation projects beyond the core platform to improve Finance team performance—including self-service analytics, reconciliation automation, and variance analysis
• Drive deployment of AI agents to replace manual processes and enhance operational efficiency across the Finance function
• Scope and contribute to building priority Finance dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar), ensuring metric consistency across platforms and Finance reporting
• Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and user support processes to champion best practices
• Mentor and grow a junior analyst or intern, progressively delegating platform, data, or reporting responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of experience in Finance Data, FP&A, or Finance Systems roles, ideally in consulting or a tech scale-up environment
• Hands-on experience with a Pigment rollout or run, or a similar EPM tool (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, etc.)—strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to internalize a tool previously managed by an external service provider, with a mandate to build internal autonomy quickly
• Comfortable working with FP&A, Accounting, and Data/IT stakeholders alike
• Some experience with SQL or Python and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
• Genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to Finance, including no-code/low-code tools, agents, and LLMs
• Ability to structure a data governance approach at the scale of a Finance function
• Familiarity with accounting close processes is a plus
• Prior mentoring experience (junior analyst, intern, or apprentice) is a plus
• Fluent in both French and English
