C-Entwickler (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential software organization in Germany that requires an experienced C developer for system-level development work. In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain disk-imaging core components written in C
• Work at the system level with Windows kernel and file system environments
• Ensure stability and data integrity in live production systems
• Advance security-relevant components, including encryption features
• Optimize performance of memory- and I/O-intensive code
• Collaborate closely with the development team on architectural decisions for storage and backup solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Multiple years of experience in system-level C development
• Proven experience with Windows low-level programming, such as kernel, driver, or file system environments
• Strong understanding of memory management and performance-critical code
• Experience working with live production systems where stability is paramount
• Independent, meticulous work approach with willingness to learn new technical domains
• Preference for technical depth over rapid feature delivery
• Strong communication skills, including in remote and small team settings
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) plus good English proficiency

Preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of Windows Driver Kit (WDK) or driver development
• Experience with storage or backup software
• Familiarity with cryptography and encryption methods
• Experience in industrial OT environments or industrial PCs
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
