About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Systems Engineer to join their global support operations. This is a client-facing, operationally critical role supporting enterprise application infrastructure in a 24×7 environment. You'll serve as a technical bridge between clients and internal teams, driving incident resolution and delivering exceptional service across rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 support for application and infrastructure incidents in a 24×7 operational environment across rotational shifts
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex application, database, and infrastructure performance issues through to resolution
  • Serve as primary technical point of contact for clients — tracking issues, driving resolutions, and ensuring service continuity
  • Collect and analyze application logs, escalating complex cases to development teams with comprehensive documentation
  • Conduct service impact assessments and user experience reviews
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly client read-outs and progress presentations
  • Maintain documentation of known issues, fixes, and technical procedures to ensure consistent resolution
  • Convert recurring issues into proactive monitoring alerts and collaborate with operations to build sustainable workflows
  • Participate in daily and weekly technical and leadership calls with timely status updates
  • Provide technical guidance to customers, building their capabilities and confidence

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years in proactive support and infrastructure/application monitoring roles
  • Experience with Global Command Center, Service Desk, or Frontline Monitoring operations
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server environments,.NET application support, IIS, worker processes, Web.config, and Event Logs
  • Intermediate SQL skills including SQL Jobs, queries, blocking scenarios, and Always On configuration
  • Proficiency with Application/Infrastructure Monitoring tools and solutions
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or equivalent Service Desk tools
  • Foundational networking knowledge and Azure Monitoring experience
  • Ability to create data reports using Power BI, Excel pivot tables, and charts
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; international support experience (US or Europe) preferred
  • Basic understanding of ITIL framework (V3.0 Foundation certification is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant IT certifications
  • Exposure to healthcare applications or patient care environments
  • Practical Azure cloud experience
  • Customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
