AI Product Owner (Lyon, France)

Overview

We are representing a confidential private equity firm with a global footprint and deep expertise in healthcare investments. Our client is seeking an AI Product Owner to join their Information Systems Department in Lyon, France. This is a permanent (CDI) position reporting directly to the Data/AI Manager.

In this role, you will serve as the strategic bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving the development and deployment of AI solutions across the organization. You'll ensure that artificial intelligence initiatives deliver measurable impact while maintaining operational rigor and strategic alignment with firm-wide priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on defining the product vision and roadmap for AI initiatives in alignment with business priorities
• Translate and challenge business needs into clear, actionable product requirements and user stories
• Own, prioritize, and continuously refine the product backlog in collaboration with business and development teams
• Ensure AI solutions deliver measurable value and drive adoption across business lines
• Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, gathering requirements and managing expectations
• Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth integration of AI tools into existing workflows
• Support business teams in understanding AI capabilities and identifying high-ROI use cases
• Maintain current knowledge of AI/ML trends, tools, and best practices
• Evaluate new AI solutions and vendors, providing informed recommendations to leadership
• Ensure responsible AI principles (explainability, fairness, data privacy) throughout product development and usage
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Business units for end-to-end delivery
• Define and monitor KPIs to track product performance and adoption
• Contribute to AI governance frameworks, documentation standards, and senior stakeholder reporting
• Manage delivery cadence and proactively escalate risks
• Develop support materials and documentation for AI initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with at least one significant AI or data-driven product deployment
• Solid understanding of AI, machine learning, data pipelines, and modern development methodologies and technologies
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language and vice versa
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across technical and non-technical teams
• Analytical mindset with a structured, problem-solving approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is a plus)
• Experience in financial services, private equity, or healthcare is advantageous
