Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential engineering consultancy specializing in infrastructure projects. In this role, you will plan and design HVAC and sanitary systems for complex structures including locks, weirs, and movable bridges.

• Design heating, ventilation, and sanitary systems for specialized infrastructure projects with unique technical requirements
• Execute planning phases with focus on conceptual design through construction supervision
• Perform technical calculations, equipment sizing, and component dimensioning based on project-specific requirements
• Prepare planning documentation, specifications, and bills of quantities for tender processes
• Coordinate with clients, architects, specialized planners, internal teams, and contractors to identify and resolve interfaces
• Support construction execution, review implementation quality, and accompany projects through successful completion
• Gradually assume independent project responsibility as experience develops

What We're Looking For

• Degree in building services, energy technology, or comparable qualification; alternatively, Techniker or Meister certification in HVAC/sanitary systems
• Ideally prior experience planning heating, ventilation, or sanitary installations
• Candidates from installation companies seeking to transition into planning are welcome—practical execution experience is valued, and our talent team will provide structured onboarding into planning processes
• Strong technical understanding with focus on solutions that are both theoretically sound and practically executable
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented work style with ability to maintain overview of technically demanding tasks
• Clear communication skills and collaborative approach with diverse disciplines, clients, and contractors
• Knowledge of HOAI, VOB, relevant standards, and technical regulations advantageous; technical strength, pragmatic thinking, and willingness to develop professionally are most important
• German language proficiency required for client coordination and documentation
