Senior Product Manager, Core People Technology

About the Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology organization in their search for a Senior Product Manager to own their Core People Technology platform. This is a hands-on individual contributor role based in London with a hybrid work model, reporting to senior product leadership.

Our client's People Technology function powers every aspect of workforce operations—hiring, transfers, leave management, compensation changes, and offboarding—across a global, multi-market operation. You'll be the first dedicated product manager for their Core HRIS platform, responsible for bringing structure and product discipline to high-volume, business-critical systems that touch thousands of employees across dozens of countries.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete prioritization and roadmap for Core People Technology systems, creating a clear, defensible plan and communicating trade-offs to stakeholders across the organization
• Transform ambiguous partner requests into documented requirements, mapped processes, and testable outcomes that engineering and analyst teams can execute against
• Partner directly with People Operations, Compliance, Payroll, Total Rewards, and Business Systems teams, including managing difficult "not now" conversations while preserving relationships
• Work hands-on with analysts and engineers to shape tickets, size work, and maintain accurate delivery tracking of committed, shipped, and carried-over initiatives
• Build the operating model and intake processes that allow the platform to scale with reduced coordination overhead
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirements translation while exercising sound judgment about compliance-sensitive areas that require human oversight
• Proactively escalate statutory risks, audit exposure, cross-functional dependencies, and compliance deadline conflicts
• Report delivery progress transparently to partners and leadership, including clear communication when outcomes fall short of plan

What We're Looking For

• End-to-end ownership experience of a product or systems area with genuine decision authority over scope and sequencing—not shared ownership of features
• Hands-on background with Workday or comparable enterprise HRIS platforms as a product manager or technical program manager, with deep understanding of configuration, business processes, and system integrations
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize when demand structurally exceeds capacity, using repeatable frameworks (not just instinct) to decide what gets done and communicate what doesn't
• Proven delivery track record in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where you're comfortable starting before requirements are complete or fully documented
• Strong skill in translating stakeholder-proposed solutions into well-defined problems, current-state analysis, and testable outcomes
• Excellent collaboration skills across technical and non-technical partners, particularly in compliance, payroll, or other regulated and audit-exposed functions
• Practical fluency with AI tools for requirements drafting and documentation structuring, paired with judgment about where automation should not be applied—especially for pay, leave, employment status, or right-to-work processes
