Maintenance Technician I

Mymvw is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join the team at The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas in Palm Springs, California. In this full-time role, you'll maintain and repair critical facility systems to ensure guests and staff enjoy a seamless resort experience.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician I at The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas, you'll be responsible for keeping our luxury resort's infrastructure in peak condition. Your work spans preventive maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, equipment repair, and facility upkeep across the property. You'll respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff, perform routine inspections, and help coordinate with contractors on larger projects. This full-time position is ideal for someone who takes pride in skilled hands-on work and values guest satisfaction.

Core Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Respond to maintenance requests and service calls throughout the resort property
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and repair or replace components as needed
• Conduct routine facility inspections and document maintenance activities
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventories in organized condition
• Assist with seasonal maintenance projects and facility upgrades
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with resort standards

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification or vocational training is valued
• Proven experience in maintenance, repairs, or facility operations
• Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical basics
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Reliable, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
• Physical capability to lift, climb, bend, and work in varied environments
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
