About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology organization at the forefront of wireless connectivity and AI-driven network optimization. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Java Developer with architecture expertise to join a cutting-edge cloud-edge platform that serves tier-1 cellular network operators globally.
This is a senior, architecture-oriented role for engineers who combine strong hands-on Java development with system-level thinking. You'll own the design of complex, scalable systems end to end, work in an AI-native development environment, and act as a technical leader who continuously brings new approaches to the team.
Location: Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Poland, or Ukraine (remote)
Responsibilities
- Design system and service architecture for high-performance, scalable, and reliable software with solid understanding of underlying infrastructure
- Translate complex and often ambiguous requirements into clear, robust, and scalable technical designs
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features and modules from design through implementation and production
- Work in an AI-native engineering environment, effectively leveraging modern coding agents and spec-driven development to accelerate high-quality delivery
- Design and implement complex algorithms
- Provide technical leadership—influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and raise the engineering bar across the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems
- Continuously explore, evaluate, and introduce new technologies, tools, and engineering practices
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in software development with Java
- Strong system architecture and design skills with proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems
- Demonstrated ability to take complex requirements and turn them into well-structured, scalable technical designs
- Strong experience designing and implementing complex algorithms and software architectures
- Experience working with microservices architecture
- Experience developing large-scale data applications and advanced SQL querying
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as an integral part of the software development lifecycle
- Technical leadership potential with initiative, ownership, and ability to drive technical innovation
- Curiosity and genuine drive to continuously learn and adopt new technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
Technology Stack: Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud platforms, SQL/NoSQL databases, Vertica, large-scale data processing, infrastructure and AI-assisted development workflows
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a Tech Lead, Software Architect, or similar senior technical role
- Experience building optimization and analytics modules
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with infrastructure design and Infrastructure-as-Code
- Familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID, and high software engineering practices
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases
- Experience working with Vertica or other column-oriented databases
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and designing AI-enabled development workflows
