About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to architect and deliver scalable platform solutions. This is a remote role based in Germany with occasional collaboration in Düsseldorf. You will work at the intersection of technology, product, and business operations, building customer-facing capabilities that directly impact thousands of users across one of Europe's growing digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain enterprise Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, and robust data models
- Take technical ownership from design through release, applying clean architecture principles and performance best practices
- Design and optimize Lightning Web Components with strong focus on performance, interaction patterns, and scalable user experiences
- Implement comprehensive security and sharing models including profiles, permission sets, role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security
- Design and build integrations via REST and SOAP APIs, platform events, and connectors with resilient error handling and authentication patterns
- Optimize solutions for Salesforce governor limits through bulkification, caching strategies, transaction management, and asynchronous processing
- Define and champion platform standards, coding conventions, code review practices, and design guidelines
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through pair programming, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Operations teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical designs
- Establish and maintain unit and integration testing standards that support safe, reliable delivery
- Strengthen platform observability through documentation, architectural decision records, and knowledge sharing
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience in enterprise environments with proven track record of delivering solutions at scale
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flows and highly proficient in Apex with strong object-oriented programming skills
- Deep expertise in Lightning Web Components including lifecycle management, reactivity, performance optimization, and UI/UX best practices
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security and sharing models with ability to design for least-privilege access
- Proven integration experience connecting Salesforce to external systems via REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, and credential management
- Consistent application of governor limit best practices, bulkification patterns, and asynchronous processing strategies
- Hands-on experience with Git, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce DX, GitHub Actions)
- Clear technical communication skills in English and ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Must be authorized to work in Germany; remote work within Germany required
Preferred:
- German language skills
- Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, or Architect track credentials
- Experience with managed packages, platform events, and ETL tools or Data Loader
