Systems Engineer – Manufacturing & Transportation – Central Germany

We are representing a global cybersecurity leader in their search for a Systems Engineer focused on Manufacturing and Transportation sectors in Central Germany. Our client protects digital environments worldwide and is seeking a technical professional who excels at translating complex security challenges into clear solutions for enterprise customers.

This presales role requires fluency in both German and English, with strong presentation skills in both languages. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, working at the intersection of technology, customers, and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging product demonstrations showcasing next-generation cybersecurity and networking technologies to prospective and existing customers
• Design and present technical solutions that address customer business and security requirements
• Plan, configure, and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate technical value and platform capabilities
• Conduct technical enablement sessions and workshops for channel partners, both online and on-site
• Collaborate closely with sales teams, partners, and internal stakeholders to accelerate deal cycles through technical leadership
• Help enterprise organizations design secure, scalable network security architectures
• Provide competitive technical insights and best practices to sales teams
• Build long-term customer relationships based on trust and technical expertise

What We're Looking For

• Strong interest in IT security with a desire to grow in this dynamic field
• Hands-on experience in networking and/or IT security from vendor, system integrator, service provider, consulting, or enterprise IT environments
• Core networking knowledge: LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN, SDN
• Understanding of Next-Generation Firewalls and enterprise security architectures
• Fluency in both German and English with excellent presentation abilities in both languages (approximately 80% German, 20% English customer interactions)
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and convincingly
• Consultative approach with customer focus and ability to position technical differentiation
• Willingness to travel within Central Germany for customer meetings, partner events, and industry conferences
• Experience in presales is valuable, but technically strong engineers with customer-facing ambition are encouraged to apply
• Additional knowledge in SASE, Zero Trust, cloud security, or data center architectures is a plus but not required

Location and Work Environment

This position is based in Central Germany, with Frankfurt preferred or remote work considered. The role is primarily home-office based with flexible working arrangements and access to office locations in Frankfurt, Munich, and Hamburg. You will typically support customers and partners within your region.
