About This Opportunity
We are representing a global consultancy specializing in customer experience transformation for premium and luxury brands. Our client operates across multiple continents and works with some of the world's most prestigious names in retail, hospitality, and luxury services. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Customer Development to join their Paris office and drive strategic growth across Europe.
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will lead high-priority business development initiatives and support the broader customer development team in expanding the firm's footprint within the luxury ecosystem. This is a senior individual contributor role ideal for an experienced hunter with deep luxury market connections.
Responsibilities
- Translate strategic growth priorities into focused business development plans for selected verticals, markets, and target accounts within the luxury and premium segments
- Leverage your established network to secure access to senior decision-makers and create new opportunities with high-potential brands
- Build and maintain a qualified new-business pipeline with a strong focus on originating relationships and converting priority prospects into clients
- Support the customer development team on strategic pursuits, including opportunity qualification, pitch preparation, and responses to RFPs and competitive tenders
- Lead the full commercial cycle for assigned opportunities from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Design compelling, insight-driven proposals that articulate differentiated value with appropriate pricing, margin, scope, and contractual alignment
- Promote cross-practice solutions by connecting client needs across measurement, training, customer insights, and consulting capabilities
- Collaborate with customer success, regional leaders, operations, and practice leads to build integrated, feasible solutions
- Ensure structured handovers to customer success teams and remain involved during early client relationship stages
- Represent the firm at industry events and share market intelligence and best practices with the team
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in business development, strategic sales, account development, or consulting within an international environment
- Deep knowledge of the luxury, retail, or premium services ecosystem with an established and demonstrable network of senior decision-makers
- Proven track record originating opportunities, winning new logos, and closing high-value, multi-stakeholder deals
- Strong experience preparing and leading complex proposals, RFPs, and competitive tender responses in consultative or multi-solution environments
- Credibility and influencing skills to engage C-level, regional, and operational stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and commercial judgment, including ability to manage pricing, margin, scope, and contractual discussions
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and written communication skills
- High level of ownership, autonomy, resilience, and accountability combined with a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) required; additional languages are a strong advantage
