About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software development firm in Nuremberg that delivers custom IT solutions for local clients. Our talent team is searching for a Software Developer to join cross-functional project teams working on web applications, cloud migrations, and emerging AI initiatives.
This role offers the chance to work across the full development lifecycle—from architecture and coding through deployment and monitoring—while mentoring junior colleagues and driving technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key contributor within cross-functional project teams developing high-quality software solutions
- Identify technical challenges, develop effective solution strategies, and implement them collaboratively
- Own the entire development process: conception, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Write clean code with comprehensive unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge transfer
- Design new features and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs
- Work on new web application development, modernization of legacy systems, cloud migrations, and research/AI topics depending on project assignment
- Mentor team members, take ownership of technical topics, and support less experienced colleagues in their professional growth
- Contribute ideas proactively and drive initiatives with accountability and strategic thinking
What We're Looking For
- Several years of professional software development experience with demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools productively into daily workflows
- Deep knowledge in either Java or modern web frontends (Angular preferred) with willingness to contribute across the full stack
- Experience with multiple technologies from this list: Spring Boot, Angular, databases, AWS, DevOps practices, cloud platforms, GenAI, IT security, accessibility standards
- Passion for software development combined with customer-focused thinking—you seek to understand client requirements and needs to deliver optimal solutions
- Curiosity, willingness to exchange knowledge, and commitment to collaborative learning and growth
- Strong communication skills in German (minimum B2 level) and English
- Authorized to work in Germany
