About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech client in Berlin seeking a Data Scientist to join their Outbound Data Science team. Responsibilities
- Optimize products based on machine learning and artificial intelligence as part of the data science team
- Work on advanced AI fields including Reinforcement Learning and Q-learning
- Identify, structure, and solve complex technical problems
- Deliver projects that create measurable business value
- Experiment with new technologies to address unique technical challenges
- Communicate effectively between data scientists, developers, product management, and business stakeholders
- Present technical product concepts to diverse audiences
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ideally in a startup or fintech environment
- Strong Python skills with data processing packages (Pandas, Numpy)
- Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
- Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- Proven track record of successful machine learning projects solving business problems
- Experience with agile development practices including TDD/BDD, continuous integration, refactoring, and code reviews
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, scikit-learn, transformers)
- Hands-on experience deploying open-source LLMs (hosting, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation)
- Reinforcement Learning experience
- Experience with cloud infrastructure solutions such as AWS
