Werkstudent (m/w/d) Information Security

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential media technology organization seeking a working student (m/f/d) for Information Security in Hamburg. This role offers up to 20 hours per week and provides genuine hands-on experience in IT and information security within a mission-critical infrastructure environment.

The position starts November 1, 2026, and is initially limited to one year. You'll work alongside an experienced security team supporting modern cloud infrastructure, data center operations, and digital workplace security.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of security policies and security concepts
• Assist in evaluating risks associated with new tools and AI solutions from an information security perspective, documenting findings in a traceable manner
• Analyze and document security requirements and processes; help derive and track remediation measures
• Participate in awareness initiatives including training sessions, phishing simulations, emergency drills, and newsletters
• Research current security and compliance topics and prepare summaries for the team
• Create presentations, evaluations, and documentation

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT/Cyber Security, Information Management, or a comparable program (proof of enrollment required)
• Basic understanding and/or initial practical experience in IT, IT/cyber security, or IT compliance is desirable
• Familiarity with information security standards such as ISO 27001 or BSI-Grundschutz is a plus but not required
• Strong MS Office skills
• Structured, careful, and reliable work approach
• Ability to present results clearly and contribute your perspective confidently
• Excellent German language skills
