About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking a Senior Account Executive to join their Australia-based sales team. Our client delivers infrastructure and application modernization solutions to Global 1000 companies. This is a field-focused enterprise sales role requiring strong executive relationships and a proven track record of closing complex deals.
Responsibilities
- Sell enterprise software solutions that optimize and modernize critical business systems to Global 1000 clients across Australia
- Proactively prospect and lead weekly meetings with C-level and senior IT decision-makers
- Collaborate with field marketing teams to develop prospects and execute strategic events
- Lead sales campaigns working alongside sales engineers, marketing, and technical support teams
- Meet revenue targets and strategic objectives while growing the sales pipeline and executing territory plans
- Maintain accurate forecasting and activity tracking in Salesforce on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with executive stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor, shaping opportunities early in the sales cycle and aligning solutions to business priorities
- Research customer industries, business strategies, and competitive landscapes to position offerings effectively
- Advocate for customer needs throughout the sales cycle and address any delivery concerns
- Travel approximately 50% of the time to meet customers, attend tradeshows, and maintain in-person relationships
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience selling to Global 1000 clients
- Demonstrated history as a top performer selling complex solutions to senior executives with quotas exceeding $2M
- Hunter mentality with ability to proactively create and qualify new opportunities
- Experience with multi-year subscription and perpetual license sales models
- Strong business acumen to navigate large, complex organizations with portfolio product lines
- Network of trusted relationships within the Australian enterprise market
- Ability to articulate vision, influence stakeholders, and deliver results independently
- Exceptional honesty, integrity, and adaptability in diverse selling situations
- Willingness to meet customers in person weekly and maintain a field-based presence
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- Established executive relationships within designated territory
