Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential industrial manufacturing organization with international operations across 50 countries, seeking a Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) for their Munich location.

In this role, you will:

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB (German Commercial Code)
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including consolidation of subsidiaries
• Ensure high-quality financial reporting and timely completion of all reporting and closing processes
• Take responsibility for selected areas of ongoing financial accounting
• Perform account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance confirmations
• Serve as point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, tax inspectors, and internal departments
• Prepare for and support annual audits and tax inspections
• Advise management on balance sheet, business management, and process-related questions
• Contribute to tax-related matters and statistical reporting requirements
• Analyze, optimize, and digitalize accounting and finance processes
• Actively shape efficient workflows, automation initiatives, and modern reporting structures
• Participate in cross-functional projects and special assignments

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed business administration degree with focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, or certification as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting within a mid-sized company or corporate group
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet accounting and financial statement preparation according to HGB
• Experience with group consolidation is advantageous
• Confident presence when working with auditors and tax advisors
• Strong ERP system knowledge, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Excellent Excel skills and strong affinity for numbers and processes
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and modern finance structures
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Entrepreneurial thinking, strong communication skills, and sense of responsibility
• Good English language skills for collaboration with international entities
