Application Support Engineer

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology client seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their growing software development team. This is a remote position based in the United States, offering the opportunity to work on secure, scalable platforms that support critical healthcare operations.

Our talent team is conducting a search for a collaborative engineer who thrives on learning, problem-solving, and working alongside senior developers to maintain and enhance enterprise software systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior software engineers to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable software solutions
• Maintain existing codebase and develop new features as business requirements evolve
• Work with engineering teams to identify and implement new technologies that improve platform performance and customer experience
• Author technical design documentation in adherence to business and solution architecture requirements
• Follow engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD, automation, and automated testing
• Troubleshoot and research common issues using existing procedures and adapting solutions as needed
• Develop relationships with diverse teams across organizational levels to articulate technical solutions effectively
• Work independently while knowing when to escalate complex problems

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
• Understanding of object-oriented principles in languages such as C#, C++, or Java
• Knowledge of modern software development practices including version control, unit testing, and continuous integration
• Experience with web services standards and technologies (XML, XSD, SOAP, JSON, REST)
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience with relational or non-relational database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, HBase) and concepts like ACID and CAP theorem
• Exposure to automated testing tools
• Agile development experience
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to present complex ideas and document concisely
• Self-driven, teachable, and exhibits strong problem-solving aptitude
• Comfortable working collaboratively and giving and receiving feedback
