Occitan Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer Project

We are representing a confidential technology client seeking an experienced Occitan language professional for a remote freelance project training AI systems. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your linguistic expertise to shape how next-generation language models understand and produce Occitan content.

You'll evaluate AI-generated Occitan text, provide expert annotations, and help refine model outputs for accuracy, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate Occitan language content for AI training purposes
• Assess AI-generated outputs for grammatical accuracy, fluency, and cultural context
• Identify and document linguistic error patterns and model weaknesses
• Provide detailed feedback on syntax, semantics, style, and tone
• Collaborate with project teams to refine evaluation guidelines and annotation standards
• Support the development of prompts and linguistic frameworks for model improvement

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native fluency in Occitan (required)
• Professional experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, or related fields
• Strong understanding of Occitan grammar, regional variations, and cultural context
• Experience in linguistic annotation, language training, or coaching (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle language nuances
• Clear written communication skills
• Secure computer and stable internet connection for remote work
• Mid to senior-level experience in language-related professional work

Location: Remote (candidates based in Andorra, France, or Spain preferred)
