What This Role Involves

As a Mechatronics and Robotics Apprentice at JLL, you'll work under the mentorship of experienced technicians to master the integration of mechanical systems, electrical components, and automated controls. This apprenticeship is designed to teach you how automated systems power modern facilities while building your foundation in troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance. You'll gain exposure to industry-standard tools, equipment, and methodologies used across JLL's operations and client sites in the Monee area.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, installing, and testing robotic and mechatronic systems under supervision
• Learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures using diagnostic equipment and established procedures
• Support maintenance activities on automated equipment and report findings to senior technicians
• Develop foundational knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and basic automation programming
• Maintain detailed records of system performance, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a secure, compliant work environment
• Participate in technical training sessions and apprenticeship coursework

What You Bring

• Strong interest in engineering, automation, or robotics
• Solid foundation in mathematics and physics concepts
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
