About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Manager of AI Science & Solutions to join their strategic, customer-facing team. This remote role is based in the United States and offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, applying cutting-edge Generative AI technologies to solve complex, real-world problems in pharmaceutical and healthcare settings.

As a Manager in this role, you will work hands-on to design and deliver bespoke AI solutions for pharmaceutical clients. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to take ideas from use case discovery and proof of concept through scalable production deployment, combining technical expertise, innovative problem-solving, and consultative delivery in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proofs of concept (PoCs) that demonstrate the potential and value of Generative AI solutions
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Generative AI and Machine Learning and apply them to real-world business challenges
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
• Present and clearly explain AI solutions to non-technical stakeholders in customer-facing engagements
• Apply consulting principles to deliver tailored AI solutions aligned with customer needs
• Collaborate with internal teams and directly with pharmaceutical and life sciences clients to address business challenges using Generative AI
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders on assigned engagements
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to build, deploy, and scale AI/ML solutions in production environments

What We're Looking For

• Extensive domain experience in Life Sciences; an advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a closely related field is preferred
• Strong experience managing complex client projects, preferably in Life Sciences R&D
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and modern AI architectures, including Generative AI, foundation models, and agentic AI
• Experience with Python and LangChain/LangGraph is preferred
• Understanding and hands-on experience in Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT), Direct Preference Optimization (DPO), Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), and Reward Modeling is a plus
• Experience deploying machine learning models at scale on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
• A strong desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented culture
