Senior Finance Manager (all genders)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential creative agency with an international presence. They're seeking a Senior Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function and support their continued growth across multiple markets.

This is a senior individual contributor role with clear progression potential as the organization scales. You'll work closely with leadership on strategic finance while managing day-to-day operations across several international entities. The position is based in Berlin with a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 remote).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient operations
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analyses to support business decisions
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, payment runs, reconciliations and liquidity planning
• Coordinate the preparation of bookkeeping (Vorbereitende Buchhaltung), ensuring invoices, purchase orders and documentation are complete before submission to external accounting partners
• Work with external accounting firms across Germany, Switzerland, South Africa and Dubai to ensure smooth collaboration and timely processes
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with external accountants and tax advisors
• Ensure compliance with German accounting, tax and statutory requirements while supporting international finance processes
• Collaborate with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, profitability and business performance
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and operational efficiency
• Help build and scale the finance function with opportunity to grow into Head of Finance

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, controlling or financial management
• Strong understanding of German accounting, bookkeeping and financial regulations
• Experience with vorbereitender Buchhaltung, including invoice verification, purchase order management and coordination with external accountants
• Previous experience within a creative agency, marketing agency or professional services environment is a strong advantage
• Experience working with multiple international entities is a plus
• Excellent organisational skills and structured, hands-on approach
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• DATEV experience is an advantage
• Advanced Excel skills
• Fluent English essential; German at professional working proficiency with solid understanding of German accounting terminology
• Comfortable in fast-paced, entrepreneurial and international environments
