About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a well-funded computer vision technology company in a unique search for exceptional former founders. Our client is building the infrastructure that enables developers worldwide to integrate AI-powered vision capabilities into their applications, serving over a million users including teams from major Fortune 100 organizations.

This role is intentionally flexible—we're seeking builders with an entrepreneurial background who can define their own path. Whether your founder experience was in engineering, product, design, sales, marketing, or a combination, we want to understand your superpower and match it to where you can drive the most impact.

Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities will be shaped around your strengths and background. Generally, you will:

• Take full ownership of outcomes in your domain, not just inputs
• Ship meaningful features and improvements rapidly—our client expects substantial contributions within your first week
• Identify and execute on opportunities to improve processes, products, or systems across the organization
• Operate with high autonomy in a distributed environment with minimal oversight
• Collaborate with a team of approximately 70 people, many of whom are former founders themselves
• Contribute to building the company's developer community and open source ecosystem

What We're Looking For

Former founder experience is essential. This could be a venture-backed startup, a bootstrapped business, or even a meaningful side project from your earlier years. Our client values the mindset and skills that come from having built something from scratch.

Beyond that foundation, ideal candidates demonstrate:

• A bias toward action and showing work rather than discussing it
• Genuine curiosity about emerging technologies, particularly AI and machine learning tools
• Track record of taking initiative beyond your defined role to improve outcomes
• Comfort with high levels of responsibility and accountability
• Passion for building exceptional products with talented colleagues
• Strong technical aptitude or willingness to learn (familiarity with computer vision or AI development tools is a significant advantage)

Location: This role is remote within the United States, with optional access to hubs in New York City and San Francisco. Our client offers a $4,000 annual travel stipend to facilitate in-person collaboration. Relocation bonuses are available if you choose to work from a hub location.

Work schedule: Primarily US daytime hours with some required synchronous meetings; otherwise flexible.

Compensation

Pay via Get A Job.ai: The target base salary range for this role is $70,000-$150,000, determined by market data and your specific background. Our client reviews all salaries every six months.
