About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a leading national education organization in their search for a Manager, Network Events and Experience. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Network Events and Experience. You'll play a critical role in planning and executing high-impact events that support educators and school leaders across the country.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills. You'll be responsible for achieving a 90% satisfaction rate on event logistics while ensuring all programs are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Program Design Partnership

  • Lead the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events and professional learning programs
  • Collaborate with programming directors to co-create annual strategy and goals for cohort-specific learning experiences
  • Develop detailed project plans aligned with programming objectives
  • Set agendas and facilitate planning meetings to identify gaps and ensure cohesion across workstreams
  • Provide thought partnership to session designers and hold stakeholders accountable to timelines

Event Operations, Logistics & Communications

  • Manage all aspects of event logistics including set-up, registration, session execution, on-site support, off-site activities, and event break-down
  • Manage virtual programming components such as webinars and conference calls
  • Lead communications for each event, including agendas, logistical details, participant communications, and supporting documents
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors (hotels, catering, transportation) to support program requirements
  • Review, edit, and produce high-quality event materials; print, pack, and ship materials as needed

Budget, Evaluation & Knowledge Management

  • Lead financial planning and monitoring including budget setting, expense tracking, invoice coding, and contract processing
  • Create and distribute post-event evaluations and surveys
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis to generate insights for program improvement
  • Participate in after-action reviews and support team learning
  • Maintain systems for internal knowledge and resource management

What We're Looking For

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience managing in-person and/or virtual events
  • Strong project management experience with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to see the big picture
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, Cvent, Zoom, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

  • Flexibility in scheduling expected to meet programmatic needs outside standard business hours
  • Remote work available; offices located in NYC and Chicago

Pay

Our client has indicated a salary range of $83,200 - $99,000 for this position. Actual compensation will be based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and relevant experience.
