Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking an Operational Excellence & Procedures Lead to join their operations team in Milton Keynes. This role sits at the intersection of process optimization, governance, and AI-enabled innovation, driving continuous improvement across operational functions.

You'll be responsible for ensuring operational processes, procedures, and knowledge management evolve to support business growth while maintaining strong governance and risk controls. This position bridges Operations, Product, Technology, Risk, and Change functions, making it ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead process and procedure reviews across operational functions, identifying opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate activities
• Facilitate workshops to map, review, and optimize end-to-end customer journeys and operational processes
• Maintain oversight of operational process documentation and procedure standards, ensuring version control and compliance
• Own reviews and updates for central operations procedures, coordinating stakeholder sign-off and communication to end users
• Conduct impact assessments for product, technology, and regulatory changes to identify documentation updates and operational implications
• Lead the adoption of AI capabilities across procedures and training to improve productivity, quality, and outcomes
• Design, develop, and continuously improve AI-enabled workflows using approved technologies including Microsoft Copilot and emerging AI tools
• Measure, track, and report on benefits realized through AI adoption and automation initiatives
• Support operational change initiatives through requirements gathering, discovery workshops, and readiness assessments
• Maintain and develop Management Information reporting to support performance management and decision-making
• Track and report on process performance metrics and continuous improvement outcomes

What We're Looking For

Essential skills and experience:

• Significant experience in Operational Excellence, Business Process Improvement, and Procedure Management
• Strong process mapping and end-to-end process design capability
• 2+ years of line management experience
• Excellent understanding of operational governance, risk management, and control environments
• Experience identifying and implementing operational efficiencies through automation or digital solutions
• Strong understanding of AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Strong workshop facilitation and business engagement experience
• Exceptional written communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Strong analytical capability with experience using data to support decision-making
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience designing AI prompts, knowledge assistants, or AI-enabled workflows
• Understanding of Operational Resilience, Consumer Duty, and FCA regulatory requirements
• Experience working within a fast-growing bank, fintech, or regulated financial services environment
